The EGDNgroup received more energy and protein and had lower nutritional defcits in the ICU as compared to the standard of care group, but we observed no diference betweenthe two groups in physical quality of life at 6 months orin mortality, rates of organ failures, serious adverse reactions or nosocomial infections in the ICU, length of ICU or hospital stay, or days alive without life support at 90 days.
